Ростовская область не вошла в перечень 17 российских регионов, в которых запланировано создание туристических кластеров в рамках ФЦП «Развитие внутреннего и въездного туризма в РФ на 2011–2018гг. Соответствующее постановление опубликовано на официальном сайте правительства.

Как следует из документа, ранее в федеральную программу входил проект создания автотуристического кластера «Всплеск» в Ростовской области. В 2011-2012гг. на реализацию этого проекта было направлено в общей сложности 705,1 млн руб., в том числе 83 млн руб. из федерального и 12,6 млн руб. из регионального бюджетов. Еще 607,5 млн руб. составили средства инвестора. Однако, как указано в документе, «создание кластера было прекращено в 2012г., средства федерального бюджета, перечисленные ранее, возвращены в федеральный бюджет».

 

Туристический комплекс «Всплеск» должен был расположиться между Ростов-на-Дону и Аксаем, на 1061-м федеральной автомагистрали М-4 «Дон», рядом с новым международным аэропортом. На территории комплекса планировалось построить крытый горнолыжный склон, всесезонный аквапарк, гостиницу, торговый центр, автостоянку.
